Fall Leaf Blanket

My impressions:
A family of colorful fall maple leaves cuddled up on a fallen moss covered log.

My friend, Elaine’s impression:
The dying gives way to new growth as leaves of yellow, orange, green, gold and soft furry moss blanket the decaying wood of fallen trees.

The story behind creating the image:
I love Fall scenery and went to Wildwood, Missouri to photograph the fall foliage in this lovely trail overlooking the Meramec River valley. While walking the trail, I spotted this simple closeup of fallen leaves on a fallen log, which I thought was colorful resulting in this image.
